Terminology, methods of classification and hazards associated with certain drugs. Drug use in Australia, adult and adolescent patterns of drug use. Factors influencing drug use. Research in drug education, current issues and programs. Effective and ineffective strategies. HIV/AIDS prevention and control strategies. Research in HIV/AIDS, current Australian and international issues. Educational methods, resources and programs in the HIV/AIDS area. Establishing a supportive environment, issues in human sexuality, terminology, research in human sexuality. Controversy in sexuality education in school. Useful and harmful ways of teaching sexuality education. Current programs, issues and resources in sexuality. |
