| Syllabus: | This unit enables students to identify and investigate the particular mode of photographic practice that they may wish to pursue professionally. Students are required create a body of work that demonstrates their technical and conceptual skills within that mode thereby enabling transfer of that practice to professional industry environments. Students will produce work that conceptually and technically satisfies existing professional photographic practices or moves beyond them by creating original work through applied investigation and research. The methodology underpinning this research is designed to introduce students to the conventions of post-graduate study. Throughout the semester this broad goal is supported through dedicated seminars and workshops whilst still allowing for individual conceptual and technical investigations to be undertaken. |
