Course Overview
Bachelor honours degrees prepare students to develop advanced knowledge and skills for professional work, research and further learning corresponding to AQF level 8 qualifications.
This course enables the students to enhance their skills in advanced actuarial mathematics through studying units in Risk Theory and Stochastic Modelling.

This course is accredited by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

Specificaclly, applicants require successful completion of the Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science). Refer to Admission into Honours Degree Programs (General Information section).
Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. Course Organisation
Bachelor honours degrees typically comprise an honours course equivalent to one year of full-time study, which is additional to the associated bachelor degree.
Duration and Availability
This course is one year full-time study. Two intakes are offered each year in March and August. Prospective students should note that places may not always be available for the August intake.
