This course will focus on the major issues confronting public sector organisations such as the structure of government, policy design and analysis, critical management issues and the law of government. The course is designed to address key public sector issues through critical reflection, theoretical perspectives and practical methods.
A bachelor degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or work experience in a senior public sector managerial role. Applicants with other relevant qualifications and or experience may be considered for admission.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units are available in the evening.
Students are expected to complete at least two core units (50 credits) and options. The units are subject to availability.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
