Syllabus:

This unit focuses on developing a greater level of the awareness, knowledge, understanding and skills required from leaders in an increasingly multi-contextual, multi-cultural and global environment. The unit will challenge the appropriateness of some ofthe traditional Western leadership constructs, theories, and models when working in another culture, whilst also building an awareness of cultural differences and their impact on leaders and followers. The need to develop culturally sensitive and flexible skills in the context of such diversity issues as race, gender, and societal status will also be explored. This unit contains experiential learning opportunities and gives the opportunity for self-development through individual and group work.
