The historical development of Geography, both philosophically and as an academic discipline, systems theory, humanism, structuralism, behavouralism, Marxism, structuration, realism, feminism, poststructuralism and postmodernism. The emphasis is on the philosophical foundations of these different paradigms and an explanation of the contributions that they have made to the changing nature of the discipline. |
