Syllabus: |
Examination of the phenomenon of globalisation, the different dimensions of globalisation, for example - economic, cultural and political, the debates about globalisation, and the reactions to globalisation. Links are made between the global and the local, and how human rights has emerged as a powerful discourse. Students participate in an interactive workshop and dialogue with one of the world's leading peace activists and researchers, and to learn his approach to 'conflict transformation'. Three days of seminars, 3 hours each and 2 days intensive interactive workshops. |
