Syllabus: |
Advanced instruction in physical examination, diagnosis, treatment and reassessment of the neuromusculoskeletal system. Advanced instruction in differentiation of the issues of origin of pain in disorders involving articular, skeletal, muscle, fascia and neural components. An understanding of the possible role dysfunctions such as muscle imbalances may have in presenting disorders and corrective measures. An understanding of psychosocial affects and illness behaviour in chronic pain. Self treatment, management and exercise prescription. Report writing. Requirements for medical opinion or treatment. The ability to document a disorder with respect to diagnosis, classification and stage. The ability to prescribe treatment, management or give appropriate advice. |
