This unit focuses on aesthetic comprehension and illustration practice by investigating many aspects of illustration such as the visual language, techniques and conventions used. Aesthetic understanding helps students to critically respond to their own work and the work of other illustrators. Illustration practice involves the exploration and development of ideas by using a wide range of skills, techniques and processes. Throughout this unit students are encouraged to experiment with as many different techniques as possible. This will enable students to convey messages in appropriate and effective ways. |
