Fundamentals of exploration geochemistry. Rationale and fundamentals of using geochemical techniques to explore under deeply weathered and shallow cover and basins terrains. Regolith-landform relationships and selection of appropriate sampling media. Soil, lag and laterite orientation surveys. Sampling procedures, sample preparation and analysis. Geochemical analytical techniques. Laterite geochemistry. Saprolite and calcrete geochemistry. Groundwater and isotope geochemistry. Partial extractions. MMI and Enzyme leach. Vapour geochemistry. Electrical methods. |
