Importance of power system protection. Unit, non- unit, primary and backup protections. Protection components relays, CTs, VTs and PTs, IDMT. Differential protection, reverse power protection, earth fault protection, directional and negative phase sequence. Distance. Protection of power transformers, generators and busbars. Solid state relays. Fuses used in protection and their coordination. |
