The structure and functions of the immune system. Antigens and antibodies. Lymphocyte physiology. Immune Responses Cell membrane antigen systems. The complement system. Histocompatibility and the MHC. Antigen antibody reactions including immunodiffusion in gels. Immunoassays - principles, applications and data reduction. Western blotting. Monoclonal antibodies. |
