Syllabus: |
Metallurgical processes for the production of metals and minerals. Processes of economic importance to Australia, such as nickel, copper, gold, mineral sands, alumina, iron, lead and zinc. Mining commodity case studies and topics including drilling, blasting, ventilation, dewatering, environment protection, mine development, geomechanics, ground support, resource estimation, mine design, mine safety, and equipment and technological advances. |
