Syllabus: |
Students will be provided with a framework will be provided to assist with the estimation of capital and operating costs for preliminary financial modelling and evaluation of mining projects. This will include - order of magnitude estimates, top-down modelling of aggregated component costs using empirical cost-throughout curves, Be Hom-up estimation of disaggregated component costs from mine plans. A revision of discounted cash-flow (DCF) evaluation techniques will also be carried out. |
