Syllabus: |
Interfacial and colloid chemistry, electrical double layer. Electrochemical reactions, kinetics and techniques. Experiment design, hydrodynamics and apparatus. Applications - batteries, corrosion and protection, fuel cells. Analysis of solids by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. Theories of nucleation and crystal growth. Polymers - radical, cationic and anionic polymerisation processes, physical and mechanical properties of polymers. |
