307647 v.1 Chemistry Specialisation Stream (Security Technology)
Introduction
This stream provides Security Technology graduates with both a general security background and specialist chemistry knowledge and skills. This stream enables graduates to provide specialist chemistry related security advice to organisations or undertake research on security areas such as - chemical identification and chemical sensors, explosion, and fire prevention and control, detection of chemical weapons, and the development new specialist materials. Students interested in security and applied chemistry will find this stream challenging, interesting and rewarding.
Special Note
The second, third and fourth year of the course is under construction with information progressively available during 2004. Prospective students should consult the course coordinator to determine appropriate unit progression.
