This stream provides Security Technology graduates with both a general security background and specialist phyics knowledge and skills. These graduates will be in a position to provide specialist physics related security advice to organisations or undertake research on security areas such as - physical methods of identification, image analysis, use of electromagnetic radiation for the development of new detection and monitoring systems, detection and management of nuclear materials, and the development of new materials. Students interested in security and applied physics will find this stream challenging, interesting and rewarding.
The second, third and fourth year of the course is under construction with information progressively available during 2004. Prospective students should consult the course coordinator to determine appropriate unit progression.
