Introduction
The aim of this course (formerly Bachelor of Science [Multidisciplinary Science][Honours]) is to enable students to extend their knowledge of current academic research methodologies as applied in their stream and minor disciplines and to demonstrate thisthrough the conduct of a supervised research project and preparation of an honours dissertation.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Refer to Admission into Honours Degree Programs (General Information section). Students must have also maintained a continuous minor stream into third year with a minimum of one and a half full units at third year level.
Specific Requirements
Students must complete two honours dissertation units, a seminar based unit in the stream discipline, and course work units predominantly from the stream and minor disciplines at fourth year level.
Duration and Availability
The course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Two intakes are offered each year, in March and August. Prospective students should note that places may not always be available for the August intake.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
