International business government relations, introducing the main elements and principles of policy systems and the impact of the framework of government on business economic activity and individual rights. Theories of the state and bureaucracy, detail of unitary and federal systems, local, state, national, international and extranational organisations, the role of politics in policy, formulation, and recent trends in trade relations and public management practice.
