Syllabus: | Introduction to different dosage forms. Pharmaceutical Latin, prescriptions, posology. Introduction to physical pharmacy. Solutions and solubility, filtration, centrifugation. Metrology, pharmaceutical calculations. Drugs of natural origin. Biopharmaceutical aspects of dosage form design. Flavourings and colourings. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated an understanding of basic pharmaceutical processes and techniques. Developed a knowledge of commonly used medicinal preparations. |
