Syllabus:

Anatomical terminology, orientation/reference planes. Light and electron microscopy. Cell structure, function and division. Embryology. Epithelial tissues. Connective tissues. Anatomy, histology and physiology of body systems. A study of dental anatomy, tooth morphology and an introduction to occlusion. Laboratory practice.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated a general knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and histology. Related with examples the functions of the body systems to the practice of dental auxiliaries. Demonstrated a detailedknowledge of human dental anatomy.
