Syllabus: | Includes a negotiated study program where students write their own contract in consultation with staff. Students have the opportunity to evolve from the broad range of experiences offered by the school, including specialisations within the visual arts. Students are counselled in the development and planning stages and further support (conceptual and practical) is given in the resolution of ideas. The unit culminates in a body of creative work for formal exhibition. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Highly advanced levels of creative production skills commensurate with professional expertise in the appropriate field of inquiry. Developed an advanced level of conceptual understandings of studio practice. The ability to clearly articulate their research concerns in appropriate written and verbal language. Demonstrated independent research skills in relation to their professional practice. Developed high levels of independent judgement and commitment to the successful initiation and progress of practical projects. An advanced understanding of the relationship between theory and practice. The ability to present a body of work in formal exhibition. |
