Syllabus: | A supervised research project and preparation and submission of a dissertation. The topic is determined in consultation with the research supervisor usually from the following fields - cadastral surveying, engineering surveying, precise surveying, hydrographic surveying, photogrammetric mapping, analytical photogrammetry, remote sensing, land information systems, land planning, measurement analysis, satellite and space geodesy and gravity gield. Other projects will be considered. Students will present a seminar on their honours dissertation. |

Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated the ability to undertake independent research in an area of the spatial sciences, utilised available sources of reference information to evaluate the current development status of their research area, planned, executed and evaluated independent research in the spatial sciences and communicated the outcomes of their research by written and oral means. |
