Syllabus: | A negotiated study program where students write their own contract in consultation with staff. They have the opportunity to evolve from the broad range of experiences offered by the School including specialisations within the visual arts amongst which could include, but are not limited to - drawing, fibre/textiles, painting, print media, sculpture, jewellery/three dimensional design, electronic arts, audio visual installation, performance, photography. Students are counselled in the development and planning stages and further support (conceptual and practical) is given in the resolution of ideas. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Developed advanced level technical skills and conceptual methodology for intensive and professional studio practice. Developed clearly articulated conceptual understandings of studio practice. Clearly articulated their research concerns in appropriate written and verbal language. Demonstrated independent research skills in relation to their professional practice. Developed an appropriate level of independent judgement and commitment to the successful initiation and progress of practical projects. |
