Syllabus:

Workers Compensation in Western Australia. Employers liability for injury to workers/employees. Occupational Health and Safety and Mines Safety Laws in Western Australia and other states. Discrimination on the grounds of impairment. Consideration of other relevant laws that relate to disability and impairment (Social Security Act 1991, the laws of evidence/procedure).
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will be have the opportunity to - Learn some fundamental rules of occupational health laws, definitions and principles. Solvie occupational health law problems. Construct legal arguments. Demonstrate legal research and referencing skills.
