Syllabus:

Deals with the concepts, relevance and competencies of leadership in work organisations, embodying a dual concern for theory and practice. Theoretical concepts are critically evaluated and the guidelines for improving leadership competencies continually sharpened, each topic attempts to synthesise the didactic and practical issues of leaders.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Demonstrated a scholarly understanding of the visions, values and the processes of strategic leadership and encourage self-development of the course participants. Critically appreciate the diversity of concepts, values and practices in the area of corporate leadership in a global context. Discussed managerial practices in strategic leadership in the light of contemporary research paradigms.
