Syllabus:

Further development of basic physiotherapy competencies in clinical practice. Management of patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological, paediatric, gerontological and gender health disorders is conducted in a clinical setting. Case presentations on typical disorders are used to continue emphasis on clinical reasoning using evidence based practice principles.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have, at an entry level practitioner standard - Planned and carried out the necessary procedures required for the clinical assessment of a patient/client. Demonstrated the ability to analyse assessment information i.e. problem-solve. Demonstrated the ability to carry out an appropriate treatment program based on the client's problem list. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills and appropriate professional behaviour.
