Syllabus: | Through the lectures and tutorials, responsive social work practice's contexts, themes and effective contribution will be examined. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Integrated material presented throughout the BSW course. Articulated a personal view of the purpose and functions of social work. Identified and explored contemporary issues and themes in a practice context. Critically read and reviewed literature relevant to social work. Identified and addressed ethical issues in practice. Negotiated their way into the labour force. |
