Syllabus: | With the increasing interdependence of economies, questions of domestic economic management are increasingly placed in an international context. Examination of the theoretical and policy issues behind growing trade and investment linkages between economies. The international trade policy developments include multilateral trade negotiations and increases in bilateral trade frictions. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will - Have been introduced to the theory and policy of international trade. Be able to engage in an analysis of recent developments in the multilateral trade negotiations of the World Trade Organisation. Beable to participate meaningfully in national and international economic policy debates. |
