Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of this unit students will have developed an understanding of issues encountered in rural Western Australia and the planning responses to these issues. Examined the history of rural development and resources in Western Australia, government policies for rural and resource development, and economic, social and environmental issues associated with rural and resource development. Examined appropriate acts of parliament and regulations, and competition for and the allocation of resources. Examined contemporary social and economic issues in rural Western Australia, and planning for rural and resource development. |
