Other Requisite(s):

Substantial completion: Bachelor of Arts(Honours) (Design related) or a minimum of 5 years professional experience in a design related filed. Graduate Certificate in a design related field.

Syllabus:

Timetable to be negotiated with Academic Supervisor and the Program coordinator. Any syllabus content will be on the advice of the Academic Supervisor or chosen by the student. The student is expected to meet regularly, by prior arrangement, with their Academic Supervisor and also consult subject experts or design professionals as appropriate. The project will finalise for assessment purposes by week six. A presentation of your project will be required for critical review in week six and in week sixteen participation in an oral or visual presentation and exhibition of project work.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated creativity and flexibility in the proposal and application of design knowledge and skills to new situations and solved complex problems while thinking rigorously and independantly. Gained understanding of design methodologies and an appropriate understanding of their use. Critically evaluated design work and engaged in reflective practice. Articulated the aims and objectives of the project through a variety of means, making the most appropriateuse of verbal and visual forms of documentation.
