Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of this unit students will have -Gained an understanding of coastal types and the underlying controls governing coastal development. Gained an understanding of geological systems and processes influencing the evolution of the coastal zone, coastal landforms and their origin. Gained a knowledge of the key physical processes driving the sediment transport system in the coastal zone, on seasonal, annual, and longer time scales. Gained understanding of some of the approaches adopted in the management of coastal problems. |
