Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit, students will have - An appreciation of the future role of renewable energy in both the Australian and the world energy scenario. An understanding of the environmental impact of fossil fuels. A basic understanding of the principles and engineering involved in converting renewable energy sources into electricity. Ability to apply the principle of "appropriate technology" when considering energy demand and supply for specific cases. |
