It provides the opportunity to apply directly the skills and knowledge acquired, which reinforces prior learning while providing workplace deliverables. Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Critically selected and integrated the variety of management theories explored in the MBA to best improve the business environment. Communicated situational analyses appropriately to inform theory driven business decisions and actions. Explored the assumptions underlying various paradigms relating to management and the business environment. Communicated analysis of specific situations in a format which is informative for decision making. Identified critical assumptions about people and business which may influence application of MBA knowledge and skills in a variety of business situations. Reflected on ways in which critical assumptions about people and business may influence application of MBA knowledge and skills in their own work experience. An appreciation of the complexity of factors influencing individual, group and organisation behaviour. An Ability to recognise the philosophical assumptions of current management practices. Used concepts models and theories in developing appropriate analysis for a variety of individual, interpersonal and organisation situations. Researched using variety of sources including on line academic databases, CD-ROMs and on-line assessments. |
