Syllabus: | Changes in human functioning that occurs as a result of physical and neurological health conditions. Relate impairments in body structure and function to occupation and social participation. Clinical medicine and social management of selected health conditions across the continuum of care and various contexts. Professional practice emphasising clinical reasoning, communication and teamwork. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Described major physical and neurological health conditions. Interpreted how dysfunction in body systems and function can affect occupational performance in activities and social participation within various contexts. Explained the appropriate management of people with these conditions and how this may vary across the continuum of care and various contexts. Demonstrated appropriate professional behaviours and effective communication and appliedthe concepts of clinical reasoning and reflection within the professional practice setting. |
