Syllabus: | Encompasses poster design, corporate identity, packaging and editorial design. The work will be project based - with four design projects. The principal objectives of each project will be research, interpretation and development of original and innovative solutions to set design briefs. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit the students be able to - understand the basic principles of graphic dsign and the evolution of its applications. Develop an understanding of how to research solutions and resolve design problems with ideas that communicate in both an original and effective manner. Generate and develop appropriate design solutions to a professional second year level. Develop a portfolio of student generated work which reflects the abilities as a graphic designer. |
