Syllabus: | An introduction to the basics of financial and management accounting. Topics include - journal, ledger, statement of financial performance, statement of financial position, cost volume profit analysis, management decision-making, capital investment decision and cash budget. |

Unit Outcomes: | Upon completion of the unit, the students will be able to - Understand the basic accounting concepts and double entry systems. Apply the concepts to prepare final financial statements. Read and interpret financial statements. Apply management accounting concepts in case studies and to suggest possible solutions for decision-making. Apply critical thinking skills and work cooperatively in groups to achieve common goals. |
