Syllabus:

Develops the core theoretical and practical dimensions of environmental toxicology and environmental noise commensurate with the role of environmental health professionals.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated an understanding of the principles of dose effect and dose response relationships in relation to human exposure to toxic materials. Demonstrated an understanding of the monitoring, testing, evaluation, risk dimensions and the setting of environmental and industrial standards for environmental contaminants. Demonstrated an understanding of environmental noise pollution including health effects, measurement, management and control strategies.
