Syllabus:

Complete the learning commenced in previous units via the production of a project-based website design, development and implementation. This will be supported by regular usability testing and constant peer/facilitator review of the evolving projects the individual students have undertaken. Analysis of other projects in progress, and significant reflection of own projects from this analysis. Key issues are usability design issues, project management, consideration of technical limitations/delivery issues,testing of the design solution on end-users.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Successfully managed the resources available to complete the Internet project designed in Internet Usability Design 391/ Internet Studies 554 according to the milestones required. Implemented anappropriate interaction and navigation model for the project's intended users. Produced an appropriate look and feel audiovisual treatment for the project's interface. Demonstrated an ability to incorporate recommendations and observations of weakness ofthe original design into the finished project. Applied appropriate methodologies to the testing of near finished versions of the Internet Design project, and utilized those findings to improve the project.
