Syllabus: | Abstract information from clinical records for further development of skills in the clinical classification of diseases and procedures in medicine using ICD-10-AM. Enhanced understanding of the structure and conventions associated with ICD-10-AM, abstracting of relevant clinical information from medical records. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Displayed skills required in disease classification of complex coding problems. Become proficient in the extraction of information from medical records for coding purposes. |
