Syllabus: | Examination of professional practice in the fields of counselling, group and family work and advocacy. The focus is on the exploration of theoretical frameworks in forming these models of social work practice and the development of skills relating for working with individuals, families and groups. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Identified theoretical concepts and models of counselling, group process and family dynamics. Defined and developed the skills necessary for social work practice. Integrated contemporary theoriesand practices with innovative therapeutic interventions. |
