Syllabus: | Field Experience to further develop the planning, management, teaching, personal and interpersonal skills required of beginning teachers. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Furthered formal teaching experience at their chosen levels. Practised classroom management, teaching strategies, lesson planning and evaluation. Examined and implemented curricula appropriate to their level of teaching. Demonstrated their ability to take responsibility for a teaching program of gradual and increased complexity, demonstrating student-centred teaching and learning processes that are appropriate in formal and informal learning environments. Observed how theoretical aspects of teaching and learning are reflected in classroom practice. Developed diagnostic teaching skills and the skills to assess and evaluate students with diverse needs. Worked collaboratively in a team environment. |
