Syllabus:

Principles of human behaviour and development. Key themes underpinning psychosocial development and an understanding of behaviour theories. Theoretical understanding to case studies, application to own development in human service work and critical analysis of popular applications.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed knowledge of key themes underpinning psychosocial development. Gained an understanding of behaviour theories. Developed an ability to apply theoretical understandings to case studies and to apply theoretical understandings to their own development in human service work. Gained an ability to critically analyse popular applications of the above.
