Syllabus:

The history of parks and gardens. The planning of parks and public open space including the hierarchy of park provision. The principles of landscape design, function, space, scale, form colour and tecture in planting design. The practice of landscape design, site survey/analysis, site planning, plans and specification. Landscape construction, contract management and supervision.
 

Unit Assessment Breakdown:

Landscape Design and report 40%, Assignment 10%, Seminars (2) 30%, Final examination 20%. This is by grade/mark assessment.
