Syllabus: | Examination of ecological risk assessment, resources at risk, environmental stressors and ecosystem responses to environmental stressors. Bioaccumulation, biotransformations, and degradation will be studied using environmental impact management strategies and laboratory-based ecotoxicity testing. |
|
Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Assessed environmental stressors in terms of their aquatic ecological impact. Described the approaches used in aquatic environmental impact assessment. Performed acute toxicity investigations and analysed the results in terms of potential environmental impact.
