Syllabus: | Partly field based covering current theories into the genesis of Archean greenstone belts. Ore deposits to be investigated in detail include peridotite-hosted nickel deposits, volcanic-hosted stratiform Cu-Zn deposits, orogenic (mesothermal) gold deposits, and lateritic deposits of Ni, Co and Au. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have an understanding of Archean geology. and the main Archean ore deposit types. |
