Syllabus:

Introduction to effective purchasing and supply strategies as a recursor to helping organisations achieve their goals - profit and value contribution and business revival. It includes examination of human resources in the supply chain, as well as sourcing of partnerships and negotiation.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have the ability to describe the objectives and organisation of purchasing and supply management in different types of organisations. To identify systems and procedures in purchasing. To analyse systems and procedures in stores management, transport and distribution. To appraise control of supply chains.
