Syllabus: | Techniques for engaging the potential of all members of a learning organisation. Leadership at all levels within the organisation is proposed as the vehicle for organisational growth. Topics include traditional leadership theory, transformational leadership and more contemporary consideration including feminist leadership, emotionally intelligent leadership, leadership of infocracies and the influence of soul and spirituality on leadership. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Explained the difference between management and leadership. Understood the prossesses of change and innovation. Understood how the attributes of the organisation affect innovation and implementation. Understood the processes of adoption and diffusion of change. Identified strengths and weaknesses of shared decision making. Understood leadership as a process of learning. Explained the difference between vision and mission. Explained the importance of vision and mission in a business context. Identified the attributes of leaders who cope successfully with the pressures of change. |
