Syllabus: | Development of English language skills within a research context focusing on the component parts of the research dissertation providing a range of discrete writing and language development tasks appropriate for research students. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have- Understood the component parts of the candidacy proposal/research dissertation and the appropriate writing styles for each part. Communicated clearly in speaking and writing. Used an appropriate range of English language structures with an acceptable degree of accuracy in order to analyse, synthesise and critically evaluate the research work of others. |
