Syllabus:

Development of the student as an independent learner. Selection of a practice area requiring change and which is relevant to a selected work environment or population. Development of a learning contract, which will be the framework to identify appropriate responses to the practice area issue or topic and achieve the outcomes identified in the contract.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have applied independent learning strategies for a selected area of nursing practices. Used critical thinking skills to reflect on a selected area of nursing practice. Evaluated professional practice against established professional standards. Developed a contract plan to achieve identifies outcomes.
